On May 24, 2023, PAGASA forecasted that the country would experience El Niño with 82% probability that continues until the first quarter of 2024. With this, we would like to remind all concessionaires to practice water conservation.
Here are 10 Tipid Tips to lessen the impact of El Niño:
1. Repair leaking faucets;
2. Turn off the faucet when brushing teeth;
3. Use dipper and pail when taking a bath;
4. Take shorter showers;
5. Don’t let the water run unabated while washing dishes;
6. Limit the use of washing machines;
7. Use dipper and pail in washing cars instead of running hose;
8. Collect the water used in rinsing fruits and vegetables for reuse in watering plants;
9. Teach children to turn off faucets tightly after each use; and
10. Encourage the use of reusable plastic containers instead of water bottles.
